HPCD Staff: 2008-2009

Reginald Louis Torchon, Manager of the Martissant Incubator, daily supports each entrepreneur through assessments and technical assistance in order to formalize the businesses with a strong structure to succeed in the market.  Reginald holds a Bachelors in Management from Ecole Supereure Infotronique d’Haiti, and spent 7 years working in international micro-financing programs.  “Now I feel that I’m doing the real thing,” says Reginald.  “My hope is that by the end of the incubator program, each business can grow and develop, so that the entrepreneurs and their products have a better place in the market.”

Davidson Viallet, Assistant Manager of the Martissant Incubator, studied management at the University of Port-au-Prince and started working with HPCD in June 2008 where he assists in the logistics and administration in Martissant.  “I hope that this project will go forward to give entrepreneurs our support to improve their businesses,” says Davidson.  “I also hope that the project will work toward the progress of HPCD so that more people have better access to employment in the future.”

Samuel Cherisier, Secretary and Administrative Assistant, worked in administration with DILES following his high school studies in Port-au-Prince.   This summer, he began his work with HPCD.  “For a long time, I’ve valued the idea of business,” says Samuel, “but in HPCD, I see the chemistry of business.  HPCD is a movement to create jobs to show how a businessperson can make changes in this country.”

Sergo Denasty, Driver, began his work with HPCD in December, 2007.  He provides incubation entrepreneurs and staff members the needed transportation to daily work and special events.

Eltima Charles, Maintenance Coordinator, has worked with HPCD since 2002, and supports the logistics and maintains the office and incubator building of HPCD.

Cleta Colin, Maintenance, works in the new HPCD incubator within Martissant.  She cleans and cares for the building and the manufacturing rooms of each entrepreneur within the incubator.

Joseph Pierre and Fervinand Jean Charlenagne, Security Guards, began working at the new HPCD incubator in Martissant in September, 2008.  They ensure safety for each entrepreneur and employee within the program.
